1. Youth Night: A Celebration for Young Men and Women

Fun, exciting and a memorable night – SK Council made it a tradition to end the year with a grand celebration for all young men and women of Barangay Rizal. From 2020 to 2023, they held the annual Youth Night.

 

Performances, games, foods and raffles were served every celebration. This became a much awaited event for all the youth in the barangay. They have prepared minor prizes such as 200 grocery packs, rice packs, and t-shirts. They also draw names for major prizes like appliances such as refrigerator, television, coffee maker, electric fan and bicycle. There were also gadgets like pocket wifi, smartphone and tablet.

The SK Council made sure that the youth of Barangay Rizal will have an unforgettable experience during the celebration of the annual Youth Night.

2. Youth Leadership Training (2022-2023)

One of the goals of SK Council is to empower the youth by bringing out the leaders within themselves. They have been committed in supporting aspiring youth leaders who have a heart for the community and are passionate to use their influence to create the smallest to biggest impact in the society.

 

This goal came into life during the Youth Leadership Training in 2022 and 2023. The SK Council was able to join hands with 50 youth leaders in 2022 and was able to double its number in 2023.  

 

The 2-day training was held in Cavite where a series of activities were rolled. Room accommodations and meals were provided to all participants. They also received seminar kits such as notebook, ID, ballpen, art materials and T-shirts. Aside from the activities, resource speakers were also invited to give informative and motivational talks to participants. 

 

The training was concluded by the performances prepared by the youth leaders and followed by the awarding. The SK Council encouraged them to continue what they started by joining the activities of the council for the community. 

Presently, youth leaders in Barangay Rizal are still actively participating in all projects of SK Rizal.

3. HapPWDs (Handog para sa PWD) (2022-2023)

People with disabilities play an important role in society. They help us understand the values of compassion, acceptance, and humility. As recognition of PWD’s unique way of exemplifying the true essence of completeness. The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Rizal paid a visit to their residences and provided them with essential food supplies. This program had a total of 150 beneficiaries who were persons with disabilities (PWDs).

4. We Care for YOUTH (2022-2023)

This gift giving initiative started in 2022 to reward and help the youth through simple tokens. A total of 600 youth received grocery packs and T-shirts from SK Rizal from 2022 to 2023.
