To prepare for the disaster, youth in the barangay must be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to cope with emergency-related situations. The implementation of this program aims to promote first responders in every zone.

Through the initiative of SK Chairman Ariel “Acko” Gadiane and the SK Council, SK Rizal put into action the training for the Youth Rescue Team held at Rescue Recon located at Quezon City for two consecutive years.

Youth Rescue Team was a 5-day training program organized by Rescue Recon Philippines wherein the participants were trained in different aspects of rescue such as Basic Life Support, Water Search and Rescue, Rappelling, Mass Accident Rescue, and Rescue Management. Participants also experienced a military style of training where they needed to wake up early in the morning and sleep early as well. Discipline is also promoted in their daily activities for them to adapt it to the real world.
